May 14, 2023 (Mother's Day) - It's far easier to find the differences between people than it is to find the things people have in common. Jesus from the outset sought to show us the things we have in common by sharing our common life in this world. By being patient and using the wisdom we gain from life's experiences, we can find the way to love those who hate us. We can be merciful the way our heavenly Father is merciful.
May 21, 2023 - We see an ocean and think about swimming in it, or maybe fear drowning in it. Jesus sees a path to walk on it to his disciples in a boat. We see someone with sickness while Jesus sees someone who is whole and perfect. We see things in a certain form and we all agree that this is how something is and therefore, should be. Jesus is not attached to such forms.
May 28, 2023 (Memorial Day Weekend) - As with almost everything, the ability to remember is both a gift and a curse at times. It's a curse when we've suffered great trauma and we feel stuck in it, unable to move on away from it into a brighter future. It's a blessing when we use it to treasure joys from our past and to learn from mistake

It's a blessing when we use it to treasure joys from our past and to learn from mistakes. Jesus honors this gift and challenges us to make better use of it.
